1. Overview

This website is operated by RoomLoot. Throughout these Terms, “RoomLoot”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to RoomLoot.

These Terms of Service apply when you visit roomloot.store, create an account, place an order or otherwise use our services. By using our website, you agree to these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Return and Refund Policy.

Our online store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform through which we offer our products.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally capable of entering into a purchase agreement to place an order. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

You must provide accurate, current and complete information when placing an order.

3. Products and product information

We aim to present our products, colours, dimensions, materials and features accurately. However:

• Colours may appear slightly different depending on lighting and screen settings.
• Handmade, textile and decorative products may have minor variations.
• Measurements may vary slightly where stated on the product page.
• Lifestyle and styled images may be illustrative. Refer to the product description and measurement images for the product’s stated dimensions, contents and specifications.
• Accessories shown in photographs are not included unless expressly stated.

These points do not excuse a product that is materially different from its description or affect any rights available under consumer law.

Products may be modified, discontinued or become unavailable without notice. We may place reasonable limits on the quantity available to each customer.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are displayed in Australian dollars unless another currency is expressly shown.

Applicable delivery charges, taxes and other unavoidable charges will be shown before you complete checkout where required.

Payments are processed through Shopify and approved third-party payment providers. Their separate terms and privacy practices may also apply.

If a genuine pricing, stock or listing error affects an order, we will contact you before dispatch. You may accept the corrected order or receive a full refund. We will not charge you more without your agreement.

5. Orders

Submitting an order does not guarantee that it can be fulfilled. We may refuse or cancel an order before dispatch where reasonably necessary, including because of:

• An unavailable or discontinued product
• A genuine pricing or listing error
• Suspected fraud or unauthorised payment
• An invalid or incomplete delivery address
• A legal or safety restriction

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the affected amount to the original payment method.

You are responsible for reviewing your order and delivery details before completing checkout. Contact us promptly if something needs to be changed. Changes cannot be guaranteed after processing begins.

6. Fulfilment partners

Some RoomLoot products are stored and shipped directly by third-party fulfilment partners. Consequently:

• Products in the same order may arrive in separate packages.
• Packaging may differ between products.
• Tracking details may be issued separately.
• Products may be dispatched from locations outside Australia.

RoomLoot remains your seller and point of contact. Use of a fulfilment partner does not remove our responsibilities or your rights under applicable consumer law.

7. Shipping and delivery

Delivery timeframes shown on our website are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise. Actual delivery times can be affected by carrier delays, customs processing, weather, peak periods and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We will provide clear delivery information and reasonable updates where available. If we cannot supply an order within the stated or a reasonable timeframe, you may have the right to cancel and receive a refund under applicable law.

8. Returns, refunds and faulty products

Returns, refunds, damaged items and order problems are governed by our Return and Refund Policy.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies:

• Any consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law; or
• Any other mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.

These rights cannot be removed by these Terms.

9. Accounts

If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for activity performed through your account.

Please notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. We may suspend an account where reasonably necessary to protect customers, prevent fraud or comply with the law.

10. Acceptable use

You must not use our website:

• For unlawful or fraudulent activity
• To introduce malware or other harmful code
• To interfere with the website’s security or operation
• To collect information about other users without permission
• To infringe intellectual property or privacy rights
• To send spam, abusive material or misleading communications
• To place orders using stolen or unauthorised payment information

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address such conduct.

11. Intellectual property

The RoomLoot name, logo, website design, written content and original creative material are owned by or licensed to RoomLoot.

Product photographs and other third-party material remain the property of their respective owners where applicable.

You may use the website for personal shopping purposes. You must not reproduce, sell, republish or commercially exploit website content without permission from the relevant rights holder.

12. Reviews and submitted content

If you submit a review, image or other content, you confirm that it is truthful, based on your genuine experience and does not infringe another person’s rights.

You grant RoomLoot a non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free licence to display and use that content in connection with our store and marketing.

We may remove content that is unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, irrelevant, contains private information or infringes another person’s rights. We will not remove genuine negative reviews merely because they are critical.

13. Third-party services and links

Our website may use or link to services operated by Shopify, payment providers, delivery carriers and other third parties. Those services may be governed by separate terms.

We are not responsible for unrelated third-party websites that we do not control. However, using a third-party fulfilment or payment provider does not remove any responsibility RoomLoot has to you under applicable law.

14. Website availability

We aim to keep the website accurate and available, but uninterrupted or error-free access cannot be guaranteed.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused solely by temporary website interruptions or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Privacy

Our collection and handling of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy. By using the website, you acknowledge that your information may be processed by service providers necessary to operate the store, process payments and fulfil deliveries.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when our services or legal obligations change. The updated version and effective date will be published on this page.

Changes apply prospectively. The Terms in effect when an order is placed will generally apply to that order unless a change is required by law or agreed with you.

17. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to operate to the extent permitted by law.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

Nothing in this section prevents a customer from relying on mandatory consumer protections or legal rights that apply in their place of residence.
